Companions of Saint Paul of the Cross:
Our Mission Is For Life!

In the summer of 2007 we, as a Society, traveled to Whitesville, Kentucky in theUnited States to hold the first General Chapter in our short seven-year history. The combination of a beautiful environment, the endless generosity of the Passionist Nuns there, the guidance of our moderator, Fr. Victor Hoagland, and God's grace allowed us to dedicate a week to clarifying our goals of community life and apostolic life.

In his opening discourse our Prior General, Monsignor Michael Palud, wrote:

We need to explore the meaning of “being passionists” in the context of a Public Clerical Association of Christ's Faithful. We are NOT religious of the Congregation of the Passion, yet, if we analyse more and more and delve into the meaning of our Statues and Directory, we will discover more clearly our calling in the Church and thus fulfill the requirements of Canon Law regarding General Chapters.

And within that context we examined our history, honestly evaluated the present and, with respect to the future, engaged in a profound theological discussion of our identity so as to consolidate and nuture who we are and what we are called to do in the Church!
